Another nice port with some great history and beautiful scenery. There were 3 ships in port so very busy. We used the Big Pink Bus for our touring. Again, city bus touring was great for us. We got off at places we wanted to see more of and got on again to move around the area. We visited the reversing rapids at an uneventful time but that was the only negative.

Took the pink bus hop on and off. Beautiful, loved our tour guide. Be prepared to walk hilly terrain.

We walked in town, lots of hills. We walked in an historic town. Was interesting to see unique buildings and churches. Was a nice day.

A great stop for anyone who loves nature. My husband and I walked to the Reversing Waterfall - a beautiful walk where we got to see a bunch of older houses with incredible architecture - and got to see the natural wonder that is the Reversing waterway! This was a bit of a hike though, so for anyone who might not be up for it I encourage you to take a bus over there. We also enjoyed the shipyard marketplace and got to try poutine and beaver tails for the first time!! We also loved the Loyalist House, and if you stop by the shipyard marketplace go to the shop maintained by the town of St. John’s and speak to the Ranger/attendant about the walking tours and maps available.

It's pretty dead. Food was okay. Not much going on in town. Excursions might be better. Pretty town and some history. When the main draw is large tidal swings, that's not a big draw to me.

Rain hindered the day, but we did check out the old churches and Billy’s Seafood which had some excellent seafood.
