A day as sea is a great time to enjoy the ship. Be sure if you plan to go to the spa on “sea day” to book your appt as early in your trip as you can because everyone else has the same idea. Also, this time of year be prepared for cold, rainy, windy, frigid weather - further expounded by the ship moving. If you are fortunate enough to have sunshine (which we saw only twice so far in our 6 days), it will still be very cold. Bring layers, hats, gloves & boots. Believe me, you will be happy you used that valuable suitcase space on these items!! Also be prepared for any unexpected extra days at sea that pop up due to inclement weather! We had an unexpected day immediately following our scheduled day which was a bit disappointing (rough seas prevented porting in Sydney) - we skipped it and headed to Halifax. They pretty much reschedule the same on-board activities, ie line dancing, exercise lessons, casino tournaments, bingo, social events, bridge, etc, etc... Remain flexible as your entire trip is largely dependent on the weather! Also, we are sailing the week of Oct 15th, and have passed peak season for the foliage. We saw a few remaining leaves in Montreal at the begin (Oct 11-13) but was the tail end. Enjoy!
