Did not actually visit the town. Did the boat excursion around Kenai peninsula and the coach tour to anchorage. It was a very nice sunny day so the excursion ended up being fantastic.

Easy to get around with all the important things to see, close to each other.

This was the port of embarkation. Did not visit anywhere in Seward.

I was a little disappointed in Anchorage as a city, but the train ride from Seward to Anchorage was a real highlight. The train has a glass bubble so you see glaciers, wildlife, the mountains, a bay with whales. The train staff was great and really knew the area and the history. This is a MUST do if you do this cruise.

Small and quaint town. Very cute for what it is. Get there a day early before you embatrk (if it applies) and spend the full next day to explore a bit. We walked around the boat dock and got an ice cream cone at the Harbor St Creamery.

Loved the waterfront in Seaward. We didn't go to Anchorage on this cruise, we were there on our own in June!

We were going back-to-back on the next cruise so we had to do some laundry. Took the free shuttle to the laundromat, charged $3.50 per load so not bad. Walked around shops then took a dogsled tour with Turning Heads Kennel. The glacier tours were not going this late in the season and we didn't care to take the land cart so they charged us half price $39 for just the kennel tour. They picked us up in town and dropped us off at the ship after. Got to meet lots of Iditarod veteran dogs and puppies (they were older ones though). Learned about training, equipment, etc. A great time.

Not much of anything there, but it was disembarkation point anyway. Took RC shuttle to Anchorage. No one knew where to get the bus, but 10 of us had to hunt it down. The shuttle ride was good and the driver well informed and personal. The drop off point held all luggage (til 9pm if needed) so you could wander around Anchorage downtown area.
