Not a review as such, as I haven't been yet, but just wanted people who will be in port on 1st October 2017 to know that I made enquiries and the cannery will be opening for the final cruise visitors that day, rather than closing on 30th September as their website states and the local buses will also be running their Sunday schedule. Might be helpful if you're struggling to fill your day.

Just got off the ship and walked around. Several good restaurants that reportedly served excellent food. I went shopping and enjoyed going in a few stores--there were about 10 stores within walking distance of the pier. One included local artists and one boutique woman's clothing store. The pier area is very clean and nice.

Lovely little spot, went out on our own, strolled around the Sunken Garden and just walked around and shopped and took pictures- one of two sunny days! Wish we could have gone to Victoria, but this was fun too.

Originally supposed to go to Victoria. Prince Rupert was a nice little town. Wish we would have had more time there. We enjoyed a jet boat excursion which was truly a blast!

If it weren't for the US law, no cruise ships would have visited this place. By definition it is a filler port. (there is a safeway and walmart so you can also think of it as a supply stop)
