Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska Port Reviews

Unless you do the gondola and jip line, there's not much there!

We enjoyed taking the tram to the top but not much to do once you got there. We enjoyed walking on the beach at the bottom and going through the shops, exhibits, etc.

This port was good but small the town didn’t really have anything in it so we didn’t stay in town, but we ate on the dock by the ship and it was really good.

This was a new port to us and we loved it. Absolutely beautiful area.

Very nice lot's of people. Saw plenty of Bald eagles and whales right by the shore line also saw couple of seals.

Nice addition to the intenerary. Would have liked to see options to take passengers to the nearby town.

The town of Hunnah (spelling) was interesting but very small, but still had a brewery. We got the ticket to go to the top of the mountain to hike, but the trail was closed. Would have been a good warning.

No bus need for this port. Cool gondola ride

We have been whale watching at Icy Strait Point twice and it did not disappoint either time. This is the one excursion that I would say is a don't miss experience. There is nothing else worth doing in Icy Strait Point, though.

We did the zip line and had a blast! Would definitely do again.
