This was not a planned port stop due to the Skagway port not available. Very dissapointed that we were in this run down town for almost 10 hrs.

We had a long time in port except it was pouring rain and not much to do there. Limited staff, many already left for the season. Wish we had longer stays in all of the other ports. This stop was initially suppose to be Skagway, but was changed due to mudslides in Skagway unfortunately. Next time, would avoid Icy Point

It was ok. A lot of places were closed

Just to sell excursions. I would have preferred another day in the three other cities where I would have done an excursion.

Not much to do or see

I did not want to go here. Our Skagway trip was canceled last minute. RC said the pier was damaged. But a woman said she called and the pier was repaired and other ships were docking.

The port area has some cute shops. We did walk into Hoonah; the people we encountered in town were very friendly. I hope that by having this as a cruise ship port the town will experience economic growth from the tourists.

To me, this was a "not much to do stop." I booked a halibut fishing trip outside the cruise line in order to have something to do.
