This was a substitute port for Skagway which we were not able to dock at. It was nice, but there was not a lot to do there. We went up the mountain on the cable car and did some browsing through the shops. I was disappointed that our substitute port was not Sitka, if we could not go to Skagway.

We did an excursion, but did not book early enough to get what we wanted. We enjoyed what we did, but would have done something else. I highly suggest to anyone to book before the cruise.

Wish I could have been able to hear better on tram ride, speaker poor quality. But loved the ride, tour guide was great.

Got to this port right at dinner time and was only in port 3 hours. We did not want to hassle with getting off and on the ship in such a short time, and we did not want to miss or be rushed at dinner. Poor timing.

No much to do. Paid for Gondola rides but didn’t think it was worth doing the single zip line for $150. Actually paying for the Mountaintop Gondola (Red) may not have been worth it either. Also, lots of bugs and mosquitoes. Weather was hot…in the 80’s and sunny.

Icy Strait Point is "the cruise line's 'private island' experience" on an Alaskan cruise. We went whale watching here with a local group but book your tours early for this port because availability was definitely limited. The zipline is billed as the largest and longest and, quite frankly, looked a little terrifying as it zooms from the top of the mountain downward toward the sea.

The tram ride takes you up 1600’ and there’s a nice hike you can take along with beautiful views. Other than that it’s shopping and food. We walked into the water to see if it was actually icy as the name implied. It is!!!!
