Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska Port Reviews

Whale watching and wild life cruise was worth the price. We saw Orcas and Humpbacks. Great crew and Naturalist Micheala.

We did a whale watching excursion, saw orcas and humpacks. Smaller boat that Juneau and I enjoyed it more.

Lots to see and do. Did atv excursion and again felt rushed.

We did the ATV tour...it was cool, but way too short for the price. We really didn't see much at all. The really cool stuff came after they dropped us off. This was a cool port...but I heard the Jeep Tour was better

Although we had a nice time at this port, there is not much to see and do. It is beautiful countryside. We did the gondola and zipline.

One of my favorite stops, the bus driver is a local and have a nice commentary on the 10-15 min ride to her town. Some small shops and a great restaurant Allen the Fisherman’s Daughter

Not much to do unless you did an excursion. No we did not do an excursion.

I think this port could have been nice but Holland America should NOT offer the "Seafood Feast and Tribal dance" excursion because it was TERRIBLE! The food was awful.. they did not even give you anything to help you break your crab legs open (we had to use plastic forks), they had no salt or butter, the lady who served us was EXTREMELY rude and the hateful, and the tribal dance was literally something my 4 year could have made up! This should be banned from their list.. it is a HUGE waste of time and money!!!!!

We didn’t book any excursion. We were here from 2:00 - 10:00 pm which was too long. The town is tiny and when we were looking for a place to have dinner there was only 2 restaurants open.

Nice little spot, I took the tram to the top and my husband went on the keep tour and we both really enjoyed ourselves even though it was rainy and cold.
