This may sound harsh but, with the addition of the gondola to the top of the mountain, it's looking more commercial... kiinda losing its "outpost" feel. The ride to the top was great... with great views. Once you're up there, there's not much to do... unless you have the tram or zip line...

Beautiful breathtaking views. This was an alternate stop to replace Skagway. It was fun and interesting, but a very small venue.

We went on a wildlife excursion but did not see any bears.

Great views of whales and Orcas

The place is great. I did an independent excursion to see wildlife (bears) Didn’t mind seeing no bear, afterall, it’s not a zoo. 😊 but the tour guide decided to tell us about a mother bear getting aggressive so they killed her and 2 of her cubs, one cub escaped. That ruined that whole experience and I told him so. Obviously not much of a business man.

I wasn’t expecting much at this port because of the reviews I read , but surprisingly, I liked it very much. We loved the tram and the hike we did. We rode the tram 3x so we can soak in the wonderful views. We took the free van ride to the little town which was ok, nothing much to see. The walk back to the pier, we got to see a lot of whales.

Beautiful setting but not mostly tourist shops. I think the excursions were probably good but many had theirs canceled due t weather so you’re left with what the port has to offer.

My husband went stream fishing The rest of us went on the Gondola both of them had a blast a little expensive should have different price for seniors and the handicap people, maybe make better ground coverage up at the top for scooters but still had fun. Then went to town, sidewalk was great, the guy that runs the shuttle service wasn’t very friendly told us there was no room for wheelchairs scooters or handicapped people that’s not good our money is just as good as everyone else’s. Oh well. We saw a really cool cemetery, no stores to speak of, but still was a nice day.
