what a waste of time and a money grab with nothing to do or see unless you spend $50.00 each for the Gondola to the top of the mountain and then the only thing was a zip slide that costs over $150.00.

This was first for us. We have been on at least 4 previous trips and we had not been to this port before. The Ranger presentation was excellent on the recent historical move of the native group, Tlingits.

What a neat port! It is owned by the local Native Alaskans. My sister-in-law was there 4 years ago and said it was a dump. It has changed immensely with lots of expansion in the works. We all loved it. The cannery museums were great. The Native dance show was educational. The free tram and the $59 tram were both worth it. They had seen bears recently so they made you hike with a guide but that was no charge. Excursions were expensive, zip line $190, whale watching $200 as I recall. A much different port that the typical City.

Went on the Bear and Wildlife Viewing Excursion. Saw a bear very close. Guide was great. Rode the zip line. It was super fun. Ate crab. Nice quiet little port. Beautiful area.

At first was disappointed to go here because it replaced Skagway but this was an amazing time. Very rustic compared to the other ports. Just down to nature and the amazing views. Definitely go up the gondola.
