Some people in our group did the zip line. The rest of us went to board the explorer gondola and then went for a walk

We were originally supposed to go to Skagway and ride the train, but unfortunately we had to be rerouted because of problems at the port. The weather was foggy, rainy, and cold; therefore, there was nothing to see once you reached the top of the mountain. The gondola ride that took you to the top was nice and smooth, but again you couldn't see anything. At the top, aside from some trails, there was nothing up there but a large tent with cold drinks. Nothing warm for the people who were cold and freezing. The small village was about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the port.

Whale and Marine Mammals Cruise excursion was great. Saw plenty of whales and mammals despite the cold drizzly day. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Did not spend much time in town given the weather.

Not an equal substitute for Skagway that was on our original itinerary when we paid for our cruise. Then we spent most of our day sitting on a bench waiting for our gondola ride as our time got changed until later in the day.

Went whale watching through a non-cruise ship vendor. Fantastic time.

If you plan to eat King Crab outside (in the crab house) - do it here! The price was about half compared to Juneau ($20/cluster, about 4 legs vs. $40/lbs which is only about 3 legs in Juneau)
