It looked like a pleasant enough town but we didn't really have enough time to experience it because there was only a 3 or 4 hour window to get off the boat. We visited this on the same day we visited Skagway but it was only in the evening and for about half the time we had in Skagway. We were already tired and toured out from Skagway by then. Kind of feel bad for the town as I think it got the short of the tourism stick because of that.

We didn’t have an excursion in Haines and there wasn’t really much to do there. I wish we would’ve booked some wildlife excursion because we just walked around for an hour and then got back on the ship.

Pretty as a postcard with nothing to do.

Very small town.

If you do two stops or ports in a day make sure you book excursions early. We missed out doing one we wanted to do. We still had fun, the town isn't very big though and few shops open post covid.

Nothing at all to do. Get an excursion for sure. The motorized wildlife canoe ride was peaceful and scenic, but we saw no wildlife except eagles.

This was our favorite port out of the entire cruise. A beautiful little town. My husband and I added it to our places to consider when we retire!

We loved our local guide who knew everything about the area. Our forest walk and river stops were all valuable and informative, and our group was small.

Skagway train tour was not available due to issue with ferry .. other tour options were available.
