Cruise Hubbard Glacier Port Reviews

This wasn't a port that you could get off of the ship and the one excursion that was offered was VERY expensive. Unfortunately due to the size of the ship, you can only get so close to it.

This was only a cruise-by visit for us although the ship did offer excursions to go closer. According to the Captain, we sat in the harbor about 4 miles from the glacier (although it felt like we were much closer than that) and the ship rotated several times so that everyone could get great views. We enjoyed the entire two and a half hours on our balcony with mimosas and pastries from the buffet. It was absolutely a wonder to behold and mind blowing to think it's over 75 miles long.

Hubbard glacier is huge and beautiful. While we did not see is calve close up you could hear it happening. Even thought this was the only day overcast it was remarkable to see!

Capt. Theo got us close enough for some fabulous pictures. It had a very ethereal look with the blues and ice in the water.

Beautiful there but wasted $600 to take boat closer to glacier because when looked back our ship was almost as close

Would have liked it if the ship had cruised closer to the glacier, we were a bit far away to obtain good pictures even with a zoom lens

Beautiful, got pretty close but wish we had done the excursion to get closer.

Got to see some calving up close. Sounds like thunder!

We took the boat excursion that allowed us to get closer to the glacier and it was very impressive.

This was an amazing, awe-inspiring spectacle. We were fortunate to have perfect sunny weather to take in the beauty and sights. This day was worth the cost of the entire trip. Wow!
