Great Trip
We really enjoyed this cruise. I'm glad we experienced a mega ship. Lots of activities for people or if you want to just sit and relax you can do that also
May 2017 - 6 Night Western Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Vista
Food at Guy's Burger and Pig n' Anchor is good. Ji Ji Asian Kitchen is excellent well worth the $15 up charge if you love Asian food. The Horizon dining room dinners was okay the grilled lobster and shrimp was the best they serve it free on one of the elegant nights but any other time its a $20 up charge for it. Lido deck buffet food needs improvement. Entertainment on the ship was good we liked the Lip Sync battle, All White Party, Flick and Karaoke nights. All of the staff was friendly and willing to answer any questions that you may have. I see people complaining about having to stand in line waiting for food. We never experienced standing in line for anything, the most we stood in line for was to get off the ship, but what do you expect when there's 3900+ people on a cruise ship. A cruise is what you make it out to be. FYI Matt the cruise director is awesome.

Cruise tips
Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic
We went on the zip lining & horseback riding excursion. We loved the excursion, but the bus ride there and back was terrible.
We took a cheap bus tour of Old San Juan and New San Juan. Had lunch at Cayo Caribe it was good.
Took bus tour of St Thomas. Tour guide was terrible. Did the Skyride to Paradise Point great views.

Be prepared to walk a lot. Take the stairs if possible elevators will be filled with too many people at times.
