Things you don’t know early in a cruise career

Okay, I admit, in the beginning there was a lot I didn’t know. When we first started cruising we could only afford interiors. It was on another forum that someone mentioned “ the balcony club”. Well, I got offended and stated that not everyone could afford a balcony cabin, so please stop bragging about cabins with balconies.

Big Smile Guess what ? When I was told that no one was bragging about the actual cabin , but the actual meaning of the balcony club, I was quite embarrassed. Hey, I had never heard the term.
btw, with all of the cameras I have not joined that club. I’m shy by nature after all. For those who are members, congratulations.

I would surmise that's a bit classier than being a member of the "Lido Deck Club".

OMG !!! There are cameras? Are we (me ???) on the internet ??? Hopefully just once - at most - not a whole channel.

When we first started cruising, everything was by snail mail and telephone. Many things have changed, but the ease of checking on your cruise and finding all the paperwork you need, is sooooooooo much better.

Well, this is the first I've heard of the balcony club, but I can imagine what it is. I don't know for sure if I'm a member. I guess it depends on how far things go. However at my age I guess I;m lucky to be in any club of that "nature". Wink
