I have a question for all you experienced cruisers!! We are thinking of booking an Alaskan cruise which also includes a land tour. Unfortunately we can only add about 3 or 4 more days since we both still work. I know Holland America and princess cruise line are the most popular in Alaska but I also noticed that Norwegian, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity are a possibility also!! We typically go on Carnival but they do not seem to have a land and sea tour package. Any advice I could get to help make this decision easier would be greatly appreciated!!

The Best land and sea tours in Alaska

DO NOT MISS Denali! Also, we booked a flightseeing tour in Talkeetna, but it got cancelled due to weather. Those are the two things I highly recommend. Our grandkids did it two years before and they still talk about flying over the glaciers, and landing on a glacier. While our cruise was on Princess, we did our land tour through Alaska Heritage Tours. This is the package we did: https://www.alaskaheritagetours.com/vacation-packages/denali-explorer/ The Husky Homestead Tour was great too, as well as the stay at the stay at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, which, on clear days had great views of Denali.
We’ve enjoyed Princess for the “specialty” sailings.
We used Princess on our first trip to Alaska, land first then sea and thoroughly enjoyed it! (10 days) We booked everything through them and everything flowed flawlessly and would highly recommend! Would definitely recommend doing the land tour along with the sea, as you learn and see so much of interior Alaska. We moved to new location/hotel and your luggage was waiting in your room for you.
Personal, were sticking with Princess, nothing against Carnival.
Which are the best cities to fly in and out of when doing a cruise with a land tour in Alaska? Thanks in advance!!
