Ship Mate app "Block User" Function

I've successfully gotten some useful cruise information from other users using the "messages" function of the app. Last week I received a message from a user I'd never spoken to in any forum/post/discussion and who is also not in my upcoming sailing. I gave the user the benefit of the doubt thinking they may have a question I could answer about a previous cruise I've taken. It became clear this was not their intention and I would like to prevent this person from continuing to message me. I tried using the "block user" function within the app but I am still receiving their messages. Anyone else having this problem?

Hopefully you won’t receive any more. Thanks for keeping us informed of the reply from Simon.

If anyone is curious, here is an update (I sent the same screenshot I posted yesterday without blocking out the username):

My current option is to just ignore the messages. I have not received another since what I posted yesterday.

Sadly, a block user button may be a necessary update addition to the app. I hope Simon or any other moderator can quickly help you.

Thank you, BDRebel

That would tend to make someone uncomfortable.

I suggest you contact the admin for the site. The link is below under "Contact Us" under the Company heading.

The admin here can either help you or guide you to the correct person.

Good luck.
