SHAKEDOWN CRUISE DOWN-LOW

How would I know if the cruise I'm looking at is a "Shakedown Cruise"? Where would that info be posted? Thanks.

Thanks for responding. I knew that folks recommend caution when booking a ship on its first trip after drydock, but had no idea how to know whether that is the situation. Thanks.

Are you referring to a "first" cruise after launch or drydock? If so, you can search on new ship launches and book a first itinerary. Usually short - 2 -3 days. Not necessarily less expensive because a lot of people want to be on a new ship. Other issue, not everything is working. Often there are construction crews still working on unfinished areas. Usually not all the venues are open and the crew isn't necessary running full efficiency yet.

After doing some reading on them and talking with relative, I'll wait a year for the bugs to work out.
