Northern Lights

Has anyone taken an Alaska cruise and were able to see the Northern Lights. Supposedly Fairbanks Alaska is the best place to see it in the United States. It actually happen here in New York State a few weeks ago (Mother's Day Weekend) but unfortunately I was about 7 hours from that part of NY.

There are five places in the US to see the this but just so happens we are going to Alaska next year. If we don't get to see this amazement there we will be going to I believe it's Iceland in 2026.

Have anyone here ever seen it and where?

If you do please share the information. I'm so jealous that I missed it in New York. If I had known earlier I would have taken the 6 hour drive from the city.

I thought about Norway or Iceland as well.

Best time to see lights mid-late fall and early to mid spring need dark clear skies. We Saw them in Norway.

We had very intense views of the Northern Lights in Western NY as well.

We're hoping to see them in Alaska in a few weeks!
