Had a thread awhile back about how nice it was, or at least "parts" of it...no thankyou, not then not now, not ever...theres a thousand places to go elsewhere, some are so nice you don't even have to pay attention (some say),,,others, you could get killed, or worse....I know...SAM writes this stuff cuz they have nothing else to do.....

There is video out there of what I can only assume are Mercenaries, retaking Royal Caribbean's portion of the Island in early 2021.

When I was there this past Spring, while I didnt see anyone armed, I wouldnt be surprised if they did have armed staff or more of those same Mercs to repel any sort of incursion while it was occupied by guests.

As far as I know the only ships that port in Hati is RCL of the Seas at their own "private" beach which is supposedly isolated, fenced off and guarded. However, Hati shares it's island with the Dominican Republic which is more and more becoming a cruise destination as more ports are opened. The DR can also have its share of problems.

Based on the dates, looks like its just a bit more than "avoid"....looks like its time to get out of dodge...something I was a past master at....

Nothing new. Haiti has been on an avoid list for awhile
