NCL CANCELLATION PROCESS

Just got off the phone with NCL. midday..didn't wait more than 2-3 minutes! amazing. Cancelled our cruise for 4/12/20 out of NOLA. No problem. Per their process, $$ will be credited back into our account within 7 days, didn't ask if that meant 7 calendar or business. No matter. You lose ins $ if you bought it. OBCs do NOT transfer. only actual $$. Cruisenext coupon will also appear back in your Latitudes acct. After the $$ appears, need to call again (unfortunately) and tell them what cruise to put it against.

Saw where NCL is laying of 50% of staff..and some ships (other lines apparently) are cancelling sailings because not enough crew showed up to man the ship.

Most interesting. Each day I fear where the next hammer is to fall, as far as the general economic plight impacts myself and family that is. Not sure what is in store for Alaska and the cruisers booked here for this season, 1.5 million a year. Sounds like most lines have packed it in now, although HAL maybe still be in business.

Big question is, how long they are shutting down for, some say 60 days others for a month or so. Obvious anyway, is the big question, when and how is our government going to get this all under control. Looks like China, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong may already have done so using different means.

Unfortunately, Italy is the hardest hit now on a per-capita basis and the U.S. shares a lot of their initial mistakes and life styles, mistakes which we have yet to correct. Does the Donald recognize, finally, that hope and prayer are great but looking the other way at the same time doesn't factor into that.

Oustanding..lets see how it works out!!

It is now official. Norwegian Holdings has suspended operations for all 3 lines, NCL, Oceania and Regent Seven Seas

They are now offering 125% FCC or for those that do not want FCC 100% refund within 90 days

From what I read, us geezers can't wander without a hall pass anyway.

Agree that this was surprisingly almost too easy to do. I did it a few days ago and waited only a few minutes to get a live voice. I believe they are geared up and ready for this and the staff are ready and willing to do whatever to preserve their jobs.
