Jamaica and the Cayman Islands

Hi. I have taken a couple cruises on Carnival Cruise Lines. The first one was on the Carnival Valor and the ship was spectacular. That cruise was to the Eastern Caribbean and I love the beaches and the clear blue water. The second cruise I took on Carnival was on the Carnival Ecstasy. I was very disappointed. The ship was very outdated and needed some repairs. That cruise was to Cozumel, Mexico and Key west. I have never been to Jamaica or the Cayman Islands. For those of you who have been to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, are they more the Bahamas, St. Thomas, St. Martin, etc. or are they more like Mexico and Keywest (more historical and less clear blue water beaches). Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice ship within the Carnival Cruise LIne? Thanks.

I have been to Cayman Islands a few times ,very nice , I have been to Jamaica many times, I liked Falmouth

I especially like the Cayman islands as there is a lot to see there on a first visit. They are more like a Caribbean Island. I am not a big fan of Jamaica but I have been there several times. The last time I visited I went to Falmouth and they had built a brand new terminal so we did not have to tender. We had a nice shore excursion that took us around the coastline which was nice. We stopped at a beautiful beach.

I would recommend the Breeze which is a newer ship. I took it transatlantic and enjoyed every minute on board. I loved the decor around the ship.
