bring back the old main dining room meals...scrap emerils hog swill
I'd like it if the ship could stay the night in certain ports so you could spend two days exploring and allow people to do more than one excursion. I'm sure there are more costs associated with it and rules for getting everyone on the ship would be tough but I think it would be fun to stay multiple days in certain places.
A few cruises do this. If I had the funds, I would love an overnight in Santorini (the Greek people are amazingly friendly), or to see the Colosseum lit up at night and tour a second time the next day, or to walk under/beside the Eiffel Tower at night, then explore Paris with wine during the following day. The World has so many amazing places to explore - and enjoy.

Ya, I totally miss the midnight chocolate buffet. We were allowed in early to take pictures and then after midnight, yum...
And everyone was taking pictures with cameras. I forgot about the picture phase prior to eating until you mention that fact. LOL. No digital phones back then as I recall.
Another memory - I do not recall a dress code, but my memory is-- most folks were still dressed very nice.
I really miss the midnight (chocolate) buffet. Leftovers from the day (can you say shrimp and lobster?), the ice sculptures, the chocolate desserts, and everyone seemed happy.

I miss happy hour at the Diamond lounge, virtually all you can drink for about 3 and half hours every night. Hours of happy were 430p.m to 830pm.
My husband and I discussed this during dinner. It’s easier to think of what we miss that was part of lure to cruising. The most frustrating parts now, are the crowds, lines, and small crew/passenger ratio. The 60-70% passenger load right after the restart was a good experience. Not practical for the cruise lines, but fewer passengers, more crew and more/larger public places would be nice.
