Hotels in Barcelona?

I agree Las Ramblas Is a great location near the ship and in town. I will warn that Barcelona is pick pocket and purse snatch capitol, especially in the Latin Quarter. if you like architecture be sure and see the Gaudi tour and the park.
We stayed at the Hotel Arts Barcelona after getting off our cruise.
The downside... cost (we used points so it did not hurt as much). Food cost was exorbitant and honestly, they were trying too hard to be fancy and missed the mark. For example, a small plate dish advertised as an "omelet" was actually a raw, small egg yolk delicately placed on something unmemorable. The brunch buffet was huge but at $60 USD per person, it was not worth it... no matter how good the food was. On the up side, the concierge was very helpful in getting us into a tour that was otherwise booked. The hotel is exceptional. It is located right on the water and connected to a casino.
Try the hotel Royal on Las Ramblas. Great location right in the action in Barcelona. This is a great city.
I have stayed in Barcelona but can't remember the hotel that we booked. It was several years ago. Gloria
