Have you ever pulled your kids out of school for a cruise

For the first time ever I will take my daughter out of school a few days for a cruise. Not happy about it (my daughter is) but my mother has pulled the guilt trip on me. She states "This could be my last vacation ever with you girls". Plus she does not cruise in the spring or summer. SMH! Have you ever pulled your kids out of school for a cruise?

We are going to be going for our very first cruise this winter and are pulling our younger two out of school. We are waiting for the college student to finish up his college semester. We decided that this is a super-special occasion and they can miss a week of school for a once-in-a-lifetime family vacation!
