Freedom of speech ! Even on cruise web sites !

"BDRebel has commented on the review of Norwegian Star cruise to Caribbean - Western.

Comment: "If you can get past the ONE sentence in the review, then it seems like a pretty good review -- states what the reviewer liked and disliked about the cruise. While I may not agree with the OP's view, he or she certainly has as much right to state that (s)he will not cruise with a line that supports something that (s)he does not agree with."

It seems that certain posters have a greater pull with the moderators.!! Is all fair in love and cruise lines web sites? I think not

BAK1061 I know you were kidding.... I just posted the information in case others did not know of editing or flagging their own post.

I was kidding

Excellent post. I trust that this covers those who accuse others of being a troll

I must have missed something, did someone mention the 1st amendment herein? Or did someone mention even breaking the law? Speaking or not speaking with a civil voice in polite society has nothing to do with law.

Say all one wants to on the web is generally the rule, some exceptions pertain like plotting terrorist or other criminal acts, etc. However, a website can have rules, all who participate in must agree to, and if a violation occurs, off the forum one goes. No laws broken, simply non-compliance with website rule(s).

If you don't like your own post......seek professional help (just kidding)........ or if your still in the Edit time window clear it. or flag it and ask to have it removed. I had two other post I was going to put here but I decided not to, to keep things as polite as I could. I had cleared them after reading them and before I posted...... I self censored so I did not inflame the issue.

What if you don't like your own post ?

This is a democracy, we vote with "Likes" on comments. If you like a comment click on the thumb up and let the poster and readers know that you liked and support the statement. Now if you "LIKE" your own post that just does not count..... it is rather silly, if you did not like it you would not have posted it.

I Vote with "Like" and "USEFUL" on post, comments and on reviews. That is what the feature is for.

Lets all be nice and let your opinion be heard with "Like" votes. Just like on Amazon, rate things with your vote.

You can even see who did like a statement or voted a review helpful.

The sad thing about some of the posters on this thread is that personal issues are creeping in. For example, accusations of trolls from an Alaskan resident are certainly not warranted and not what Cruiseline is all about. It is very sad when this happens.

I have already made contact with Simon, privately about the posts here and asked him to advise if he still wants a diverse web site offering differing view points or would he prefer it if the posts were only from residents of USA or Canada. Certain posters are taking delight in posting personal insults if they don't like what they are reading. This is not democracy.

I think its half indignation and half humor (or is that humour?)

I'm seeing three sides of this argument, tending to agree to all three sides and losing my mind (what little is left, anyway)Big Smile

I just think this conversation will end up like other popular threads concerning religion, politics, guns, and dress codes. I'd just as soon not see this go there.

All I did was state that the first amendment doesn't necessarily apply to all websites. This one included.
