Anyone ever made a connection in Frankfurt coming from the USA? Any tips?

My (27 at the time) daughter went through there two years ago. She said it was much nicer and smoother than US airports. The only issue she had was her carryon luggage had to be checked coming back to the States. They apparently considered carryon to be like a hand bag, not the small suitcase we put in the overhead bins. Do not know if that was because she was in the cheap seats or for another reason.

Not since 1979! What our experience was then is probably so outdated that it is useless. Enjoy your adventure!
