Roll calls are where you sign up to see who else is cruising on your sailing. It will also give a countdown under your avatar. Here's where you sign up: Cruise roll calls. Meet your Shipmates before you sail. (cruiseline.com)

What are roll calls and how would I search for them.

Another first timer here

Breakaway is a large ship, but don’t be overwhelmed. Get to Cagney’s. Best steakhouse at sea , IMHO. If you like French onion soup and escargot, go to LeBistro. Good casino.
You won’t be bored. Take the first day to explore the ship.
oh, I think the ship has like a jazz club, take advantage of dinner and music

Thank you kindly.

Start logically with NCL now reading these pages at their website to get the basics, then closer to sailing reread...

Search social media for all the roll-calls you can find and wish to join to get specific to your sailing info plus it allows you to make off ship acquaintances that can help you understand the best tips and tricks for your ship and sail date, both on and off the ship. Topics usually discussed are best pre-cruise hotels, non-cruise line sanctioned tours, best free place and how to get to them in port, what to expect in the way of theme nights and tricks to pack lightly yet still be prepared, and any possible sales for the pre-cruise purchase of things to catch deals on things offered like excursions, drink packages, photo package, spa/salon treatments, which specialty dinning is worth the extra cost, etc.
