Does Anyone Know how NCL Shore Excursion Works?

Does anyone know how NCL Shore Excursion works?

I know that you have to purchase your shore excursion in advance. Does the credit you receive go back to your credit/debit card or is it an Onboard Credit?

Yep that's how it works, depending on where you are when you cancel..if that's what you're actually asking. which also happens to be a real reason NOT to prepay gratuities. AT least theres something to offset the non-refundable credit against.

And you can (should) do all your research and bookings for excursions at home, not on board. its generally a zoo. (I meant the excursion "desk", not your home heheh)That's the only time you have to pay for it "in advance"..So if you cancel that, it'll become a credit on your c/c. I NEVER use a debit card. For anything. IMHO, its just asking for trouble.

Agree with Bubba. While on ab NCL cruise we had a port cancelled which we had a pre-booked, pre-paid excursion. The amount paid was was credited to our on board account. This is a refundable credit so if there is a positive balance at the end of the cruise this one you may take back. Most credits are non refundable.

Sounds right to me.

Well I have not sailed NCL in awhile. Unless things have changed you can pre-book your shore excursions and booked them onboard. My guess would be if you cancel prior to your cruise it would be refunded straight to your credit card. While onboard it would be refunded to your. Ships account.
