Cruiseline Legends Accuracy

I was reviewing the Jewel of the Seas deck plans for an upcoming cruise with a guarantee cabin. I’m trying to figure out what Interior cabins for 4 have Pullman beds versus a sofa bed. My kids want to sleep each on a separate bed. If I go by the legend of the deck plans from Cruiseline, every single interior room for 4 has Pullman beds. How accurate are the legends from Cruiseline.com? Can I trust that the guarantee room will have the Pullman beds?

I hear you but not everybody needs/wants to spend the same amount of time in the cabin. I have done this multiple times in cruises over ten days without any issues. My preference is a cabin with the Pullman beds because then the room still has some available space. With the sofa bed, it might be a different story.

Thanks for the detailed answer. This is what I was looking for.

That's hysterical - who said anything about spending 7 days w/4 family members? That's murder on the horizon, for sure! I personally couldn't spend that amount of time in that close proximity to family, would have to be friends...lol

I can't get past the part about 4 people in an interior cabin. Here's what I want you to do....gather up the entire family, and go stand in your bath tub. Now ask the question, is this how I want to live for 7 days ?

Historically, the legends were accurate and I used them religiously to determine cabin location. However, post covid, I am finding they are not always accurate; possibly a victim of staffing shortages - delay in updating the ones that are posted due to staffing shortages?

The discrepancies we've noted have been in bathroom configurations (ex shower only when legend did not reflect that); we have not seen cabin capacity being off. We even checked the sofa in a couple cabins to prove if they were/were not pull outs to confirm we really did need to book an extra cabin to hold 3 or 4, lol.

On Carnival, we've seen a couple cabin categories being incorrect - or could be we were charged incorrectly.

So my experience is they have mostly been correct.

I have had them check cabin by cabin from a list I compiled - never had anyone tell me no, but could certainly tell they weren't happy.

Ooops. Misread what you really wanted to know and therefore gave advice accordingly. Thanks for the clarifacation. And I also thought you were referring to the ship named Legend and that being a Carnival ship, so booking a guaranteed cabin may have a different meaning. Hope you find what you are looking for and let us know. I've not used the legend for cabin layouts to be able to tell you how accurate the are.

I have talked to three different RCI representatives and only one was willing to check a couple of cabins. They said they would have to check one room at a time. The question is if the cruiseline legends are accurate. I am not asking who I should call. Thanks though.

Even if you get a guaranteed cabin, it may not be guaranteed for the configuration you want, just the class of cabin you want. As the others have suggested, call them. Maybe get a good vacation planner with the cruise line. It may cost a bit more, but you’ll get what you really want.
