Covers on balconies

We are considering a 5 day cruise on the Carnival Sunshine to the Bahamas. This would be our 6th cruise. I was watching a video of a couple on the Sunshine and she pointed out that their balcony did not have a cover on it and she was quite dissapointed. I looked and looked but found no reference on which rooms have, or did not have, a covered balcony. Any recommendations? Thanks

Ive never even thought about it.

We have an Aft facing Junior on the back of Grandeur Deck 8 coming up in April. I wonder if there will be any shade...

I've sailed on the ship a few times and I feel that 6 deck and 7 deck are the best for the balconies. The above deck is what covers the balconies and if it's privacy you're looking for, no balcony is completely private.

Covers over balconies are typically just below a pool deck or dining room (potentially noisy influence). They are the deck extensions for what's above. As I don't like direct sun in the room (can get too hot) I prefer, but in a way, the view is obstructed if you plan to take photos from your balcony. The cover easily gets in the frame.

For noise purposes we always get a room with cabins above and below us. In this case the balcony above you would also provide cover. The back may be tiered.
