Celebrity Edge or Norwegian Encore for our honeymoon?

We are trying to choose between the two ships, both balconies. Norwegian Encore has free at sea and is $700 less. Celebrity is more spacious, quiet, and luxurious. If you have any input or just want to weigh in and say which you would choose, please help! Thanks!! Big Smile

I've tried both and would go with Celebrity. If you want to find out why, you can go to my profile and check out my review of Norwegian Bliss. I have much better luck on Celebrity.

I would also look beyond the activities and amenities offered by both cruise lines to what their typical fare included dining offers. Personally we found quality and variety of NCL's main dining to be only fair and a bit bland, while on X the MDR had only slightly more choices each night how they prepared it was exceptional (for cruise line standards). On NCL your only dining time choice is open seating , but if you don't secure reservations prior to sailing it's darn near impossible to get same day reservations once on board and it's not unusual to be told there is a 30 to 90 minute wait for a table for 2. On Celebrity you can still choose a traditional set time, early or late, or get their version of My Time Dining. Though reservations are recommended for their My Time dining room they hold spots for on board booking until about 1:30pm each day, and their walk up line moves much faster.

If the current booking specials include specialty dining also look at those menus and know that for either line reservations are a must for those restaurants, again with X leaving open spots for on board requests.

This will depend on what you are looking for. Quiet relaxed luxury would be Celebrity. A more cosmopolitan and active scene while still enjoying luxury, that would be Encore. Look at the fesatures on each ship and what it has to offer and also look at the itineraries.

Thank you! Happy

While I have no input for your cruise choices. I want to say congratulations on your nuptials!
