Cancellation Notice

Has anyone else received a letter from RCI regarding the cancellation of their cruise? We are scheduled on Mariner for April 3rd sailing and haven't received anything as yet. Curious as to what they are offering to rebook another cruise on a later date.

RCI sent several emails to Agents and or guests, as early as Thursday, March 12th. Subsequent emails have followed each day since.

Please check with your Travel Agent/ Agency if you have not received any communication.

Please see the below communication from Royal Caribbean International.

Effective March 14th, 2020, Royal Caribbean International® made the decision to voluntarily suspend all cruising for the next 30 days – an update from yesterday’s announcement which impacted only U.S. based vessels.

A 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) will be automatically issued to all impacted guests. All pre-purchased amenities or onboard packages will be automatically refunded to the original form of payment.

Alternatively, a full refund is an option for you if preferred, but there is a form you must complete. Once the completed form is submitted, RCI will issue within 30 days. The refund will be returned to the original form of payment. Refund requests will be available through December 31st, 2021.

My friend was due to sail on Royal Caribbean in a couple of weeks but their cruise has just been cancelled. I think pretty much all cruise lines have suspended sailing til around mid April. We have a cruise booked for July (but with P&O) so I’m hoping it is all sorted by then. But if it isn’t, health and safety come first and, if there is any risk to my family, we won’t be going. Here’s an article put out by Royal Caribbean this weekend.

I’m still hopeful that our ship is going to sail. We are 5 weeks out. We leave New Orleans April 18 on Royal Caribbean. They are supposed to resume business as of April 11. We are going to Bahamas. SandyK

Haven't had an email yet,, but I believe they are offering 125% cruise credit for use up to end of 2021, or a full refund. This applies if your cruise is not sailing, but may also apply if you cannot get to the embark point (e.g flying in from Europe to the US)

It looks as if most cruiselines have cancelled cruises until April 10th (I am not sure if RCI is among them, but Princess, Carnival and NCL are).

Your best bet would be to call RCL directly and have one of the Customer Service folk help you out.
