Also, exterior door decorating is dependent on the cruise line. I know NCL now no longer allows exterior decorations, and a few of the other lines are following suit.

You can bring your own. The walls are steel so you can put things up with magnets. The cruise line prefers you have fire proof (resistant at least) decorations and that you do not use scotch tape or anything that might damage the cabin. This applies to decorating your door as well as the interior of the cabin. Have fun and happy birthday to whomever in your group that is celebrating!
