Best ports to snorkel

Fell in love with snorkelling this past week on our cruise. Looking to book a short cruise before our next one in September on Symphony of the Seas. We want to snorkel at each stop if possible. Looking for suggestions of ports that offer snorkelling.

What ports are you going too? Cozumel you can take a taxi to the Money Bar and snorkel right off their site. It is not a beach entry you have to go down steps to get in the water then swim out some, best area is to the right when you enter the water. Having said this you have to be aware of the current at the time you go in the water if it is too strong you will want to go left and not swim back against the current. Getting in sometimes can be a little tricky due to surge they have a hand rail but you have to be careful. The Money Bar does have an outdoor restaurant/bar and chairs, tables to use. They also have bathrooms and outdoor shower. You could book a drift snorkel tour where they take you to 2 or 3 spots and you float over the reefs and the boat follows.

Roatan West Bay is the Best diving off shore (snorkeling) from the beach better than Cozumel Money Bar. You can google, Trip Advisor etc to find snorkel tours on Roatan.

Belize you can only snorkel on a tour unless you fly to one of the out islands.

Again list what islands you are going to. These are all on Western Caribbean cruises.

Cozumel has some nice snorkeling and scuba diving spots. Any place in the Bahamas is pretty sweet also!

Thank you so much for the info. We go to Roatan in September, so nice to know we can snorkel there. Haven't been to Belize yet, so that's an option for our next one. Thanks again.

We loved the private Carnival area in Roatan, Honduras... Mahogany Bay. We didn't think we would see many fish etc, but it was actually very good. I am sure there are way better spots, but so far on our cruises this has been the best spot. I know Belize is said to have amazing snorkeling, we would have found out, but our excursion was cancelled because of wind.

Have you checked the excursions offered by the cruise line you are sailing with and look for reviews on their site? Also google independent tours for the various ports of call. Good luck.
