Best Cruise for New Years Cruise?

I've been on two NYE cruise on two different ships and I can tell you my experience from both, the only difference is that on the 31st there is a party on the Lido Deck and with a live band in the Atrium starting about 11:00 pm and then the morning after. They did pass out some really cheap Champagne on the Lido and there was plenty of it.

I'm trying to sneak in a NYE cruise for 2019-2020 and not tell my DGF about it until sometime after June 2019 and hope for the best. Now, I'm searching for itinerary, ship, port and cost since a cruise during the Christmas/NYE is about the most expensive cruise and I will also be looking at the number of days the cruise has.

What is the best cruise line for a NYE cruise? IMHO it would be the one you're on since a cruise is better than staying home.

It would also be helpful to know if your looking for major party animal or a elegant NYE party in formal clothing ?

I agree! We need more from you on what you want from the experience. My quick answer would be any of them. Carnival is noted for being more family and party type, but most cruise lines will have a celebration.
