Balcony advice needed for the deluxe/prime ‘slanted’ balconies

Looking to book a deluxe veranda on decks six through eight or prime concierge balcony cabin on decks nine through twelve on Celebrity Eclipse.

These are mostly cabins with “slanted’ balconies such as these on starboard side of deck 10:

1044

1046

1106

1108

1120

1122

1124

1126

1194

Any advice as to which to pick or avoid? (Stbd or port side, decks 8-12, have similar in same locations.) Any info about size, privacy, views, etc, appreciated.

Big concern is if a forward face of the slant such as 1044 or 1106 or 1194 are “windy’ when underway like a forward balcony/standing at the bow???

Thank you in advance!

Glad to be of help...thats really what this place is here for...

Thanks so much for the advice! We were ended up with 9292 and 9237 - the first rear facing midship slants as another couple decided to join us. One port, one stbd.

Thank you!

Hope you have a lovely time on your cruise :)

Lynn is beautiful

GOTCHA!!!! enjoy it!!!!!!

Will be NCL Joy in 4 days! First AFT balcony for us.
Considered an aft balcony on Eclipse but not very private so trying a hump balcony instead.

1194 is all the way aft but the balcony is angled forward. Looks like a great location other than if too windy. Love to sleep with sliders open.

1120 my other choice for sure.

Thx!

We have had "true" aft facing cabins and suites on a few different ships...anything facing port/starboard isn't the same.. ...if I had to pick between your two, I would take 1120 ...I think it has a way better location than something all the way aft. Look at the stuff you like to frequent....besides, 1194 really isn't aft facing anyway...but...your choice...your countdown clock says 4 days...for THIS cruise?? that can't be right...if it is, you mean those cabins are still available?...nah....

Thanks Yankee47!

Torn between 1120 and 1194 (original pick).

Would love to hear from someone who has been in one like 1194.

We like to spend a lot of time on balcony and sleep with sliders open.

Love your brekkie comment!

Mid or aft is fine. I like to walk A LOT and take stairs exclusively. However, I found the early am before light trek all the way aft from our fwd cabin on Apex earlier this month to COFFEE that was only all the way aft to be a bit much. By the time I got back to room I had an empty coffee cup and had to start back aft again. (Somehow still gained weight though. Ha-ha).

Thanks!

Have not been on that particular ship, however we have been on many on NCL and CCL which have those "slanted balconies"...matter of fact, we go out of our way to book early enough to get the one(s) we want. When underway, forward facing can be windy, even though the partitions block most of it. We always have continental breakfasts delivered specifically to have it out there. Nothing like it. Its disappointing when we start our 17 meals of the day inside. On the other hand, we are able to "sit back" by the cabin wall and avoid any wind. We prefer looking "forward", but it really doesn't matter. Aft facing works too, slightly less wind..just a matter of taste.. In port, of course, doesn't matter at all. You should note you can see almost the length of the ship, and right down rows of balconies...but not to worry, they can't see you unless you stand right up next to the rail.

Personally, I think its more important to study those deck plans, hard...Given all your potential choices, just how much walking you plan to do, or doesn't it matter? If you have cabins above and below, noise shouldn't be an issue..and we've found that being near an elevator has some huge advantages...That old bugaboo about noise is just that..we've been within one cabins length distance from them (around the corner in a hall) and didn't know they were there...good luck!!!!

You want to make sure that there are cabins and no common areas above and below your selection. Other than that keep in mind where the stairs / elevators are and how far you will be from the parts of the ship you like to frequent. Also check if it is a stand alone cabin or if there is an adjoining door to a neighbour cabin.

Balconies being considered:

This is stbd deck 10 but info on similar either side any deck appreciated!

Particularly curious about #1194 at rear.
