I concur this is question is so cruicial. I do not like surprises and I have only travelled on Cunard, Norweigian and Virgin Voyages. With that said we always (when applicable) purchase the premium drink package or on VV book when they offer a minimum of $600USD in sailor loot. I lovewater and want to drink what I want without incurring addtional charges for bottles of mineral water, champaign, wine and top shelf sprits (no fruity/sugary frozen or on the rocks mixed drinks) for us.
Call customer service ask them to send your a list of what is include. I keep a image on my mobile phone so there is not misunderstanding while I am cruising.

Drink packages at restaurants vary based on what you purchased. More expensive packages cover drinks at specialty restaurants and higher-priced drinks. Knowing which package you have helps understand what's included.

Theres several different ones. they all cover drinks in specialty restaurants depending on which package you bought and how expensive the drinks are that you're ordering..It helps to know what you bought.
