You'll love it, a different experience from land and air travel. Remember to bring Ginger tablets from the chemist just encasoe you feel nauseous.

The main thing I can recommend is to make sure you bring nice outfits for the dress-up night, and then have the ship take some professional photos, and you can buy your favorite to frame when you return home.

I have a photo collection from all of my many cruises! Next year is my 40th wedding anniversary, so CONGRATS to you youngsters.

Make sure you take time to relax and enjoy the cruise experience--look at the stars at night, go to some shows, sit on the deck by the pool, enjoy a fancy cocktail in one of the bars, go dancing to one of the bands, or in the disco.

Where are you cruising? Yes, enjoy the ports and the excursions--beach days are nice, try out snorkeling from a catamaran, or if you are in a city, take a walking tour, or near the jungle, visit a Mayan ruin. We always get off at all the ports and discover something new, interesting, and memorable.

Remember to unpack when you first arrive, and allow time before disembarkation to (sadly) repack everything again.

Have a wonderful cruise! Bon voyage!

Rule #1, do not ever over pay for a cruise....as you start cruising you will see that 50% of the cruises have issues that may affect your itinerary or the ships entertainment/activities. When i say overpay well theres too many things to tell you that would save you money...so listen listen and ask questions with fellow cruisers and travel experts (lol). Compare and utilize this information to give you the most enjoyment and value...so you can cruise more often rather than once and say that was the most expensive vacation ever and not go again. Hope to see you at sea.

It's like "fight club"... I'll neither confirm nor deny!

quiet you……it’s sound, solid advice. I’m sure you’re a member.

All but this information is VERY good!Wink

Okay, hold on. Slow your roll, you’re not “doing it all”. Even if you could, you’d need another cruise just to relax. No itinerary listed, so I’ll guess someplace warm. So, even though I don’t condone it, if you are going somewhere with a dolphin encounter, go for it. It is a cool experience, and don’t forget to buy the photos. Don’t go crazy shopping, the deals aren’t what they used to be. St. Thomas: top of the mountain tram. Pricey, but great views. Antigua : Shirley Heights. / Nelson’s Dockyard. Again, great views. St Martin: Island tour OR ferry over to Front Street (2nd stop), make sure you hit the Guavaberry Store. Cuban Cigars are available near the McDonalds (I forget the name of the store ). If NCL: SPA. Just…..trust me on this……the thalassotherapy spa on NCL is one of if not the best at sea. Also on NCL, CAGNEYS STEAKHOUSE, and LeBISTRO (French). Two of the best restaurants at sea. If a place called STINGRAY CITY is on your itinerary, go there. Bring an underwater camera

Make sure you find time to relax. Oh, if you have a cabin with a balcony, feel free to join your ships Balcony Club. Ask at the lobby desk for info.. give them your ID and tell them you want to join the Balcony Club. Every ship has one.
have fun, happy anniversary .

Let us know the ship and your itinerary! Based on that, I'm sure people on this forum can give you specific ideas.

First: welcome! Second : congratulations on 20 years! And in no particular order: Read ALL the information the cruise line sends you (that's the negative part from my perspective). Do everything that looks fun to you. Usually, you can't possibly do it all...so enjoy as much as you want. We bring magnetic hooks for our "lanyards"; the walls,& doors are metal. Talk to strangers (fellow passengers). Ignore the small things that might go wrong. There is so much more, but those are the first ones that pop into my head. Relax and have fun!
