The gathering of Friends of Bill W. was the focal point of all my cruises. However the Norwegian Gem is by far the nicest ship with excellent variety of food in the buffet and the main dining room. Far surpasses the Adventure of the Seas I took previous to this. Will make Norwegian the number one cruise line in follow up vacations.

I have no complaints as the service was excellent. The food was fantastic. One problem. No whole lobster in the dining room and you have to order surf and turf if you want lobster and have to throw away the beef if you don't eat beef. They do not offer just the turf. I have no problem with paying for it and would have had it 4 or 5 nights during the cruise. Your loss.

The trip was wonderful. Great excursions and the glaciers are a must see as well as the whales, bears, moose, dog sled rides and sea lions. The food on the ship could be better as Celebrity and Royal Caribbean are much better in that respect. Also make sure you book with a ship that has a retractable roof over the pool area as the rain surely dampens your pleasure.

Copocabana is only a $5.00 taxi trip away and the day pass of $25. covers umbrella, lounge chair and drinks.
The water taxi to the beach with excellent shopping. Go early to get the best seats on the beach.
The waterfalls and botanical gardens are a must with the thermal pools.

If your a smoker be prepared to climb two decks up from the pool or stand up outside on deck 7.
