July 2017 - 5 Night Eastern Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Conquest
We had the most amazing vacation on the Conquest. The staff on that ship were exceptional. Our dinning room staff (Fernanad, woody and I man) were great!!! our room team, just awesome!! Thank you Dave for you hard work. In regards to the ship, it definitely needs some work, but hey, who cares, the staff sure made it pleasurable. The point steak house, just awesome. The one thing I learned on this cruise is that you must enjoy your dinning experience. schedule a later dinning time, Its well worth it. after a long day at Shore and once you're on the ship at least you have plenty of time to grab a snack then get back to your room get ready for your dinner. Enjoy brunch, just great. Also get Faster to the Fun, Its worth it!!!!!.
Carnival Conquest

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
Loved this port. We were the only ship there and it was great! We dined at the BBQ by Carnival which was fabulous. they have lots of restrooms and trails that you could explore.
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
We didn't have any problems with Ft. Lauderdale airport. Same as any other.
I will rate this port excellent because we got to meet Topher the dog and we ate the best jerk chicken at jacks Shack. Also the water near the shack is a lot cleaner too. There is not much to do but shop, swim and party. the people at the beach are very helpful, the only thing I didn't like was that you have to rent the chairs in front of the shore for 10 dollars a piece. but no worries that have plenty of free chairs in the back to go around.
We had a fabulous time here. We booked a day pass at the British Colonial Hilton and it was the best decision that we made. Beautiful private beach, no crowds, good food and drinks and good service.
Carnival Conquest
My one tip would be take plenty of singles so you could tip the people that help you the most. Take a portable fan just in case its to warm in your cabin, also book in the middle of the ship if youexperience sea sickness. We didn't feel a thing, plus we started taking out our medication 72 hours in advance to the sailing.
