Overall, this trip met or exceeded our expectations and since we were planning it for more than two-years, that's a really good thing!
Norwegian Escape

Overall, this was a very, very good week. This is a very large ship with LOTS of people. However, only a few times did that really have an impact. The adult pool is small compared to the population and getting chairs on deck was difficult. Using the small track after 9 am was frustrating due to the number of people that were coming and going from the buffet. The ropes course was cool but not for those with fear of heights. Service across the boat was good.
Cruise tips
Got there a day early and spent time exploring on our own. Great city with friendly people. Watch out for the bikes!

Went with SPB Tours on a two-day tour. Amazing sights and sounds. Highlight of the trip.
Enjoyed Stockholm but did not like the 50-minute commute from the port when we saw other cruise line ships in Stockholm proper.
Did the Land and Sea excursion via NCL. Found Helsinki kinda dull compared to our other stops. Moose meat balls for lunch was a highlight in the market square.
This was interesting to see the old-town environment. Enjoyable but not too exciting.
Fairy-tale Castle excursion was great. Hard to believe that this was former East Germany/Soviet territory.
Norwegian Getaway
The casino is a smoking area and it impacted the atrium area and we didn't like that.
Norwegian Escape
Make reservations for dinner at specialty restaurants and shows immediately upon arrival.
