Cruise tips
Our excursion for the day was Da Party Bus. We could not have asked for a better tour of the island. We feel like we saw much of the island, learned about the heritage and had a great time while doing it.
We rented a Jeep and drove around the island and spent most of the day at Magen's Bay. It was difficult to drive on the wrong side of the road, but was worth the experience.
We took a catamaran tour to the Pitons. It was a fantastic day. Of note, when the boat stopped for a swim break in the bay, locals kayaked up to the boat to sell their items.
We took a water taxi to Frugate Beach for the day. It was a nice, peaceful, relaxing day. Not much traffic on this beautiful beach. The food at the beach bar was very good.
We took a tour to the Mount Gay distillery and then to the beach. It was a nice tour and enjoyed our day.

We booked many of our excursions on line through the vendors themselves and saved compared to Carnival rates.

This was our first cruise with Carnival. It was a little different from Royal Carribean. The ship was clean and nice. Cabins had much storage space and the crew was helpful. We purchased the endless bubbles package. On Royal this is self serve, on Carnival each drink must be ordered and a receipt signed, so it takes a while. Also if you order a coke while in port, you have to pay tax. We ate the buffet one night and it was not very good and did not have much to offer. Ate the remaining meals in the dining room, and these were very nice.
