Royal Caribbean Suspends Port Calls to Labadee, Haiti
Royal Caribbean announced that it will immediately be suspending port calls to its private destination, Labadee in Haiti, due to unrest in the country. The cancellation of visits to Labadee may continue to be announced as Royal Caribbean continues to monitor the ongoing situation in the country.
Michael Bayley, CEO of Royal Caribbean International, shared the following Facebook announcement following the cruise line’s decision:
Royal Caribbean has canceled several port calls to Labadee through the end of May. Guests with canceled port visits will be refunded for any shore excursions, and alternative port calls or sea days will be announced. Any guests with questions on upcoming cruises scheduled to call on Labadee are recommended to reach out to Royal Caribbean or their travel advisor.
