Norwegian Unveils Details for Activities and Entertainment on Prima

Norwegian Cruise Line has shared features of the activities and entertainment that passengers will find on its newest ship, Norwegian Prima. The ship was introduced by the line this past May and will be the first of six ships of the line’s new Prima class of vessels. 

"We're not just elevating the guest experience, we're giving it an adrenaline rush and multisensory overload," said Harry Sommer, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line. "When we launched Norwegian Prima, we aimed at going beyond expectations, providing our guests with more wide-open spaces, elevated service, thoughtful design and a variety of unforgettable experiences, and this latest unveiling of our entertainment and onboard activities lineup is going to have the wow-factor they've yearned for in a much-anticipated cruise vacation."

Activities for Passengers of All Ages

Prima Speedway - Norwegian is the only cruise line to offer go-karts at sea, and they have upped the ante on Prima. The Prima Speedway will be the largest and first-ever three-level racetrack, at more than a quarter-mile in length. The speedway will now go around and through the funnel of the ship, and boasts 14 nail-biting turns where 15 drivers can simultaneously race on the open ocean, reaching speeds of more than 30 mph.

The Drop - Norwegian Prima is set to offer the world's first freefall dry slide. Thrill-seeking passengers will experience a 10-story plunge reaching the highest G-forces of any cruise line. Guests can also try out ‘The Rush’, featuring dueling dry slides for adrenaline junkies to race down.

Galaxy Pavilion - This indoor virtual gaming complex will feature 14 attractions, including four new hyper-immersive simulator experiences: two escape rooms and a Topgolf Swing Suite.

The Bull’s Eye - This exciting new activity is an elevated twist on the classic game of darts featuring a sophisticated video tracking system that automatically calculates each guest's score and even offers instant game replays to ensure fun, competitive play. 

Tidal Wave Waterslide - Located in the ship's Aqua Park and Main Pool area, Tidal Wave will feature gushing surfs where guests will ride an innertube to catch the perfect wave. 

New Adult Spaces - Prima will offer a Vibe Beach Club, an adults-only area featuring a bar and two infinity hot tubs. Adults can also head to Syd Norman's Pour, a guest-favorite venue featuring a stellar house band that plays top rock music hits. 

Entertainment for All

Exciting Performances -  Norwegian enlisted the production team that brought "Jersey Boys" to the Norwegian Bliss for its newest production on Prima - "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical." This show will feature the story of Donna Summer's rise to the Queen of Disco. Guests can also enjoy the high-energy, visual show "Light Balance Universe" featuring Light Balance the golden buzzer winner from ‘America's Got Talent’. This show includes jaw-dropping effects, high-energy choreography and acrobatics, and a multisensory light spectacular.

Prima Theater and Nightclub -  All of Norwegian Prima's headlining acts will take center stage in the groundbreaking transformational Prima Theatre. The three-story venue can seamlessly convert from a state-of-the-art performance stage to an expansive dance floor with a customizable seating layout and awe-inspiring moving LED screen. 

Game Shows for Everyone - Norwegian Prima’s LIVE on NCL game show experiences allow the audience to be part of classic game shows and win incredible prizes. Shows include "The Price is Right LIVE on NCL", "Supermarket Sweep LIVE on NCL",  "Press Your Luck LIVE on NCL", and "Beat the Clock LIVE on NCL". 

Norwegian Prima is slated to make its official debut in the summer of 2022. Following its inaugural year of sailings, it will homeport in Galveston for the winter 2023 and 2024 seasons.

I'm booked on the transatlantic September 2022, and it's looking even better with today's announcement! Especially with all the sea days to take in all that's going to be on the ship.
