Norwegian Cruise Line to Homeport from Jacksonville in 2025
Norwegian Cruise Line is headed to Jacksonville! Yesterday the JAXPORT Board of Directors approved a four-year agreement for a three-year cruise operation with Norwegian Cruise Line to operate passenger cruise service from Jacksonville starting in November 2025.
The cruise line will deploy the 2,394-guest Norwegian Gem to sail from Jacksonville from November-April through 2028. The ship's arrival at the port will mark the first time that Norwegian Cruise Line has operated from Jacksonville.

Jacksonville continues to be a growing cruise market, with more than 98 million consumers living within driving distance of the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal. The terminal is located just minutes from major interstates, with fast access to the Jacksonville International Airport.

Norwegian Gem will sail Bahamas and Eastern Caribbean cruises from Jacksonville. Three 12-day and two 11-day roundtrip Eastern Caribbean cruises will call on Great Stirrup Cay, Puerto Plata, St. Thomas and St. John’s, Basseterre, and San Juan. The ship will also sail a series of four- and five-day Bahamas voyages calling on Great Stirrup Cay, Freeport, and Nassau. The ship’s amenities include a spa, pool, award-winning specialty restaurants and bars, world-class entertainment, an arcade, casino, and the cruise line’s complimentary youth program Splash Academy.
Bookings for these new voyages on Norwegian Gem from Jacksonville go on sale February 15, 2024.
