New Carnival Celebration to Feature Miami-Themed Space
Carnival Cruise Line shared new details of one of the ship zones on its newest vessel, Carnival Celebration. 820 Biscayne will be a Miami-themed area that will celebrate Carnival’s hometown city. The zone’s name pays homage to the cruise line’s original headquarters location.
Located on deck eight, 820 Biscayne will feature a number of design elements that celebrate the cultural style and architecture of Miami. Throughout the zone, guests will experience a number of elements that combine the past and present styles of the city. Think beautiful artwork and fun photo opp locations like posing with flamingoes on skateboards.
“Miami has been our home for 50 years, and in bringing a brand new ship to its port, we wanted to show some extra love to the city that helped us become who we are today,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Carnival Celebration will celebrate all things Carnival, intertwining where we have been with where we are going, and we can’t think about where we started without thinking about Miami and all of the fun that it represents.”
820 Biscayne will feature several new eateries:
Bar 820 – This half inside/outside retro-inspired bar will offer grab-and-go Cuban sandwiches and specialty coffees, as well as Miami-inspired tropical frozen drinks.
Deco Deli – The Deco Deli will offer classic deli sandwiches and Miami staples the Cubano, croqueta, and pan con leche. Deco Deli’s design is a nod to Miami Beaches’ Art Deco area, complete with colorful fonts and signs.
Miami Slice – At this 24-7 spot, guests can grab a slice of pizza among contemporary and vibrant decor reminiscent of the late-night eateries of Ocean Drive.
820 Biscayne will be found in the same zone as 'La Pizza' on sister ship, Mardi Gras. Also in this area on Celebration will be Rudi’s Seagrill and a Miami-themed Cucina Capitano.
Carnival Celebration will be the line’s second vessel to be powered by a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) propulsion system. The ship is slated to make its official debut in November from the line’s new Terminal F at PortMiami.
Bookings for 2022 and 2023 sailings on Carnival Celebration are now open.
