MSC Cruises Announces New Homeport in Galveston

MSC Cruises is saying a big ‘howdy’ to Texas. The cruise line announced today that Galveston will be its newest homeport beginning in late 2025. 

The first ship to sail for MSC Cruises from Gavelston will be MSC Seascape. The vessel will offer 7-night cruises starting on November 9. 2025, to ports in the Western Caribbean.

MSC Cruises' announcement of a new homeport in Galveston represents a milestone in the cruise line's expansion into the U.S. market.

2025 MSC Seascape Cruises from Galveston

MSC Seascape is among the newest and most environmentally friendly ships in the MSC Cruises fleet. The vessel offers 2,270 cabins, 11 dining venues, 19 bars and lounges, six swimming pools, an expansive 1,772-foot-long waterfront promenade, six theater productions, one of the largest MSC Yacht Clubs in the line’s fleet, and the thrilling state-of-the-art ROBOTRON robotic arm ride. The ship is incredibly family-friendly with  7,567 square feet of dedicated kids’ space for passengers ages 0 to 17. 

2025 itinerary highlights on MSC Seascapes' first season from Galveston include port visits to Costa Maya, Roatan, and Cozumel. Bookings for these newly-announced 2025 sailings with MSC Cruises from Galveston, Texas go on sale beginning today.
