MSC Cruises unveiled the new entertainment options on its upcoming ship MSC Seascape. The ship is set to include never-before-seen onboard activities that combine high-tech entertainment with innovative technology.

The newly announced featured ride from MSC Cruises is ROBOTRON, the first-ever robotic arm ride at sea.

ROBOTRON is comprised of a state-of-the-art robotic arm that includes an attached gondola that seats three. Guests will fly nearly 175 feet above the sea on a heart-pumping ride that hangs over the deck, flips upside down, and moves in all directions. In a first for robotic arm rides, ROBOTRON allows the riders to customize their desired thrill level - ranging from ‘family-friendly’ to ‘high-intensity’. Riders can customize ROBOTRON’s colored lights and music preferences and more. ROBOTRON acts as a moving DJ booth, as the lights and ride itself bounce and twist in tempo with the music.

MSC Seascape is also set to host a range of VR and immersive entertainment options, some being returning guest-favorite options found on other MSC Cruises’ ships. These include a VR 360° Flight Simulator, VR Motorcycles, an MSC Formula Racer, and an Immersive XD Cinema.

“We are excited to give our guests more access to cutting-edge experiences, which is why MSC Cruises’ is committed to bringing our newest ships to the U.S. We’re the first cruise line to offer something like ROBOTRON at sea, and we can’t wait for thrill-seekers to discover the ride of their life surrounded by the beauty of the Caribbean,” said Rubén A. Rodríguez, president, MSC Cruises USA. “Our new virtual reality motorcycles and flight simulator – plus fan favorites like the MSC Formula Racer and XD Cinema – will also feature truly immersive experiences, providing the most exhilarating line-up of rides we’ve ever offered.”

MSC Seascape is set to enter service on November 19, 2022. The ship will make a 17-night Grand Voyage as it travels from Rome to New York City. MSC Cruises will host a naming ceremony for MSC Seascape on December 7 in New York, before the ship sails south to its new year-round home at PortMiami.

Starting in winter 2022, MSC Seascape will offer two Caribbean itineraries. The Eastern Caribbean route will call on Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Nassau, San Juan, and Puerto Plata. A Western Caribbean route will call on Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Cozumel, George Town, and Ocho Rios.
