First Look at Disney Treasure
Disney Cruise Line today shared the first preview of the upcoming new ship Disney Treasure. This vessel will be the sixth ship of the Disney Cruise Line fleet and is slated to make its official debut in December 2024.
Disney Treasure is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. The vessel will have the capacity for 4,000 passengers and 1,555 crew and will be powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). At approximately 144,000 gross tons, Disney Treasure is slightly larger than Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.
As is tradition with all Disney Cruise Line ships, Disney Treasure will bring the Disney experience to sea with stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, and Disney Parks. The ship will offer several of the same fan-favorite spaces as found on the sister ship Disney Wish.
Adventure is the key theme in the design of Disney Treasure in honor of Walt Disney’s legendary passion for travel and exploration. Featured themed areas and entertainment have been inspired by the Disney stories of “Aladdin,” “Coco” and “Zootopia.”
“The Disney Treasure will bring brand-new stories to life, blending one-of-a-kind experiences with the extraordinary entertainment, world-class dining, and unparalleled hospitality that make every sailing so memorable,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager Disney Cruise Line. “As we chart a course for adventure, we’re so excited for families to discover the excitement and exploration that awaits onboard the sixth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.”
Following is a special look at the highlights, onboard attractions, dining, and staterooms coming to Disney Treasure.
Onboard Attractions
Entertainment
Families will come together to enjoy both new and class Disney Cruise Line entertainment aboard Disney Treasure. Options will include interactive storytelling, character encounters, and Broadway-style theatrical adaptations of Disney classics.
The ship's “Aladdin” themed Grand Hall will be a main focal area for entertainment and a gathering point. In this space, guests will enjoy live music, shows, and character meet and greets.
Named after the lioness matriarch from “The Lion King,” Sarabi will be a central hub for daytime activities and an adults-only evening entertainment venue. The uniquely designed two-story space has been designed with the savanna in mind. Sarabi will serve as the venue for games such as “Match Your Mate”, “Family Time Game Show,” and new favorites that debuted on the Disney Wish like “Villains Game Night.”
The Walt Disney Theatre will be the home for family-friendly original Broadway-style productions developed exclusively for Disney Cruise Line. Shows will include “Beauty and the Beast”, and “Disney Seas the Adventure”, as well as a third, all-new show coming to Disney Treasure.
Returning spaces from Disney Wish, Hero Zone and the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas will provide more family entertainment for at-sea days.
Outside on Disney Treasure’s upper decks, the fun continues with three distinct districts offering water activities, casual dining options, and space to relax and soak up the sun.
One district is themed to Mickey and friends, with seven pools staggered among tiered decks with lounge chairs, casual eateries, and the return of Disney Cruise Line’s own attraction at sea, AquaMouse. Disney Treaure’s iteration of this family-friendly ride, AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg, will plunge guests into the world of Mickey Mouse animated shorts. Suspended high above the upper decks, powerful jets will propel two-person ride vehicles through 760 feet of winding tubes for great views of the ocean and the ship below.
A second district (also found on Disney Wish) is the Toy Story Splash Zone designed for families with toddlers and young children. This space has a splash area, wading pool, family waterslide, and smoothie bar.
Adults can enjoy the third outdoor district, Quiet Cove, a peaceful refuge for poolside lounging and sipping cocktails. Set away from the family areas, this secluded adults-only district will feature an infinity pool, a poolside bar, and a cafe.
Children's Spaces
Disney Treasure will offer several dedicated spaces and interactive programming for children ages infants up to teens. At the Oceaneer Club, younger guests will enjoy dedicated age-focused spaces with group programming led by a team of Disney-trained counselors.

Dining
Disney Treasure will once again offer the cruise line’s family dining concept, where guests experience one of three restaurants each night, accompanied by a dedicated service team that joins them throughout the voyage. The ship will introduce several brand-new family entertainment-themed restaurants.
Plaza de Coco - This is the world’s first theatrical dining experience themed to the film “Coco”. The story of Miguel and his familia continues where it left off on screen as they gather in Mariachi Plaza to take guests on two nights of colorful, music-filled journeys with traditional Mexican fare and live entertainment.
Worlds of Marvel - This immersive Marvel-themed dining experience will celebrate Avengers characters and stories, with a special appearance by Spider-Man. The high-tech venue will serve a ‘worldly menu’ and two separate nights of shows inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In addition to these three main restaurants, Disney Treasure will also offer quick bites, casual dining, 24-hour room service, and Jumbeaux’s Sweets (inspired by Disney’s “Zootopia”).
A number of adult-exclusive dining venues will also return on Disney Treasure. Options include Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, and The Rose, a new upscale eatery inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Beauty and the Beast”.
Also new for adults is Periscope Pub, Disney Cruise Line’s first venue inspired by the 1954 film “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” and the celebrated Disney Parks attraction. This space will feature submarine-styled interiors and an intriguing glass ceiling. Here, adult guests can watch sports games and enjoy craft beers and light bites. Also new is the Skipper Society, a centrally located adult space designed after the Jungle Cruise attraction at Disney theme parks. This venue will have natural colorways, camp-style furnishings, and a playful atmosphere just like the theme park ride. This lounge space will serve themed cocktails and light snacks.
Staterooms
According to Disney Cruise Line, the 1,256 stateroom offerings on Disney Treasure will “strike an inviting balance between modern design and nostalgic charm with a fresh, natural color scheme and custom artwork that will entice guests to peer beyond their staterooms into fantastical worlds from heartwarming Disney adventures.” Most rooms include the line’s signature split-bath concept, many with the option of a connecting door that adjoins staterooms. Additionally, the majority of staterooms offer an ocean view, and 877 (70%) staterooms include a verandah.
Concierge-level staterooms and suites offer an exclusive concierge lounge with a private sun deck. These rooms feature elegant interiors, which have been inspired by the majestic grasslands from “The Lion King.”
Disney Treasure will feature four Royal Suites designed to pay tribute to the faithful feline companions of Disney characters. These offerings include the Bagheera Royal Suites, honoring the panther from “The Jungle Book,” and the Rajah Royal Suites, themed to Princess Jasmine’s tiger from “Aladdin.” New on Disney Treasure is the Tomorrow Tower Suite, with an inspired design from the EPCOT theme park. Set in the ship’s forward funnel, this suite overlooks the top deck of Disney Treasure with an expansive two-story window.
